What is your view on the person and work of the Holy Spirit?I believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and to regenerate (Titus 3:5, Ezk. 36:26-27), sanctify (1 Thes. 5:23) and empower (Acts 1:8) for ministry all who believe in Christ. I believe the Holy Spirit indwells every true believer (1 Cor. 3:16-17, Rom. 8:9-11) and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide (John 14:26).

What are your beliefs on the gifts of the Holy Spirit? And if you believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still operation, how do you feel they should be exercised within the context of a church service?I believe the principal way that God communicates to us and ministers to us is through His Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17). In fact, it is the 'voice' of His Holy Spirit and He calls it the 'Sword of the Spirit' (Eph. 6:17). However, I do believe that we should maintain an open heart to the giftings of the Holy Spirit and that these are still used by God in certain circumstances today.

1. What is your belief regarding the sinless life of Jesus Christ?I believe Jesus Christ lived a completely sinless life (1 Pet. 2:22). It is on this basis that He could be the perfect and sufficient Sacrifice for our sins, die as a substitute for our sins, and completely atone for our sins (2 Cor. 5:21).

2. What are your beliefs regarding the miracles of Jesus Christ? Were they literal miracles?I believe Jesus Christ’s miracles were real, literal miracles. These miracles proved that Jesus really was Who He claimed to be - the Son of God. They demonstrated His complete power and control over all elements of creation - something that could only be attributed to God. They demonstrated His compassion towards individuals. Lastly, by accompanying His teachings, these miracles, or ‘signs’, also strongly validated His teachings.

3. What is your belief regarding the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ?I believe Jesus Christ literally rose from the dead in bodily form. When this happened, He became a first fruits of all the faithful who will be resurrected (1 Cor. 15:20-22). Apart from His bodily resurrection, we have no hope, no Saviour, no resurrection, no new life, and no way to dwell with the Lord into eternity. After His resurrection, Jesus appeared several times to His disciples and others for 40 days, and collectively was seen by over 500 witnesses (1 Cor. 15:6). Jesus’ ascension was a literal, bodily return to heaven, where He sat down at the right hand of the Father.
